All of our receptionists, nursing staff, kennelhands and vet students are passionate about animals and the work they do at AAH.  They are all extremely caring and compassionate, and enjoy looking after all our patients as well as their owners.

  • Monica Krassoi
    Practice Manager

    Monica is the longest serving team member (19 years), apart from Teresa.  She is a very experienced veterinary nurse and receptionist and has placed that experience in to the new role of Practice Manager. You won't often see Monica at the front desk anymore as she works hard behind the scenes helping to ensure our clients and their pets have a positive experience at the vet. Monica's animal family rescues include Junior and Lady Harriet Fox (bunnies) and Oska the Kelpie x.

  • Jackie Phillis - Vet Nurse and Receptionist
    Animal Studies Certificate II, Vet Nurse Certificate IV

    Jackie is born and bred right here in the Inner West, she started working for us as an animal attendant whilst undertaking and completing her nursing studies at Ultimo TAFE. She loves animals and all aspects of Veterinary nursing, and ihas a particular interest in reptiles. Jackie's family - she is the proud parent of  'Choppa', an 11.5 year old Mini fox terrier x Chihuahua and 'Polly', a 10 year old tortie DSH cat.  Jackie is also an avid Rugby League fan and Wests Tigers fanatic.

    You will always be greeted by Jackie of an afternoon and evening. Jackie has been part of the Annandale team for more than 10 years and has a wealth of animal knowledge and experience which she is always happy to share.

  • Rachael Edwards - Vet Nurse and Receptionist
    Certificate II in Animal Care, Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing

    Rachael has been working at Annandale Animal Hospital for 5 years. She is our Senior Nurse and operates a finely tuned hospital and surgery. Rachael has a particular interest in Surgical nursing, although these days many of our patients are greeted by Rachael at reception as Rachael is expecting her first baby. due in February 2018.

  • Alicia Liston - Vet Nurse
    Animal Studies Certificate II, Veterinary Nursing Certificate IV

    Alicia has had a love for animals for as long as she can remember. She adopted her adorable cat, Vinnie, after he was abandoned at our practice, and raised him into the happy, well-adjusted feline he is today. Alicia has been part of the Annandale team for almost 10 years.

    Alicia has a special bond with all her patients and has a special "comforting knack".

  • Maddie Curr-Smith - Veterinary Nurse and Receptionist
    Certificate II in Animal Studies, Certificate IV in Animal Studies, Bachelor degrees in Japanese and Psychology

    Maddie has completed her Certificate II in Animal Studies and her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.  Maddie also recently somehow found the time to complete a Bachelor of Arts in Japanese and Bachelor of Science in Psychology!  Her veterinary nursing interests, however are in emergency medicine.  Maddie has a 4 and a half year old cat named Noodle and a gorgeous 18 month old cavoodle puppy named Peanut.  

  • Lorena Haute - Vet nurse and Receptionist
    Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing

    Lorena hails from southwest Sydney and joined our team at AAH in April 2013.  She has completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. Lorena is one of our quiet achievers, she is a  very passionate and dedicated nurse always striving to further her knowledge. You may not see Lorena a lot upstairs at reception but she is always hard at work in the hospital area caring for the medical and surgical patients.Lorena helps run the hospital like a well oiled machine.

    You will often see Lorena holding her well dressed and very much loved Pomeranian, Simba.

  • Rebekah Morden

    Rebekah comes to us from a background in marketing and management but she has decided to explore a different career in the veterinary industry and has completed her Veterinary Nursing Certificate IV.  She is really excited to be combining her love of animals with her new career and now has gone back to University to study Grief counselling for companion animals.  Having grown up on a farm in Scotland, she has always been surrounded by a large variety of animals, from horses and goats, to gerbils and hamsters.  She has a soft spot for large dog breeds which stems from her parents keeping Newfoundlands and German Shepherds.  Bek has recently adopted her own large puppy, Brodie, Bek will always greet you with a smile as you enter reception.

  • Jessica Panozzo

    Jessica comes from a town called Kankakee, just south of Chicago Illinois USA.  She is studying Veterinary Science at the University of Sydney and is about to complete her final semester.  Jessica has a bachelor degree in Pre-Veterinary Medicine and Biology from the United States and has wanted to be a vet for as long as she can remember.  Jessica's interests include scuba diving, reading, hanging out with friends and working with animals.  She has a calico domestic long-haired cat named Mugsy at home in the states and a 5-year-old kelpie cross named Bella in Sydney.  She loves being in Sydney and believes it to be a really beautiful city.

    Jess has been part of our team for three years.

  • Dorrie Lubman
    Veterinary Nurse

    Whilst Dorrie was born in England, she now calls Sydney home. Dorrie began working with our team as a Nurse in training whilst studying her Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing. Dorrie has now completed her studies and has continued to develop her skills and is a valuable part of our Hospital.

    Dorrie has a keen interest in medical cases and is always found researching and furthering her knowledge in case management.Dorrie's fury and feathered rescue family include Chips the Lorikeet, Sookie the Cattle x and Bubs the domestic Mid Hair Meow.

  • Tayla Bussey
    Veterinary Nurse Full Time

    Tayla is our newest and youngest staff member. Don't let her youth fool you. Tayla has completed her Cert IV in Veterinary nursing and completed all nurse training at Sydney University Veterinary Hospital and has seen and nursed many unusual and difficult surgical and medical patients. Tayla has really become part of the Annandale Family in a short amount of time.

    Always by Tayla's side is her much loved adopted gorgeous blind pooch Iris. iris was very lucky to have Tayla adopt her in her twiilght years. Tayla also has a special interest in wildlife and rescue.


  • Angelica Brevario
    Animal Attendant

    Angelica is our early morning, behind the scenes Animal attendant. Angelica greets all our boarders and hospital patients  before the sun rises with a sweet genuine smile. Angelica is currently studying Veterinary Bioscience at Sydney University.

  • Clare Ottavio
    Veterinary Nurse in Training

    Clare initially came to Annandale for work placement which is a requirement of the Veterinary nursing certificate. Clare's passion and empathy towards the patients was quickly noticed and Clare is now part of our team and as a Veterinary Nurse in Training whilst continuing her studies.You will often see Clare at reception as she learns the skillful art of veterinary reception, triage, pharmaceuticals, product knowledge and the rest.
