All of our receptionists, nursing staff, kennelhands and vet students are passionate about animals and the work they do at AAH.  They are all extremely caring and compassionate, and enjoy looking after all our patients as well as their owners.

  • Monica Krassoi
    Vet Nurse and Receptionist

    Monica has been a member of our team for over 15 years.  She is a very experienced veterinary nurse and receptionist and is currently working part-time at the practice.  Monica's animal family includes Alice, a 2 year old Jack Russell x Staffy and Cookie, a 12 year old Staffy x Dachshund.

  • Jackie Phillis - Vet Nurse and Receptionist
    Animal Studies Certificate II, Vet Nurse Certificate IV

    Jackie is born and bred right here in the Inner West, she started working for us as an animal attendant whilst undertaking and completing her nursing studies at Ultimo TAFE. She loves animals and all aspects of Veterinary nursing, and ihas a particular interest in reptiles. Jackie's family is large - she is the proud parent of 'Wilson', a 13 year old tabby DSH cat, 'Princess', a 12.5 year old Husky x Shepherd, 'Choppa', an 8.5 year old Mini fox terrier x Chihuahua and 'Polly', a 7.5 year old tortie DSH cat.  Jackie is also an avid Rugby League fan and Wests Tigers fanatic.

  • Rachael Edwards - Vet Nurse and Receptionist
    Certificate II in Animal Care, Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing

    Rachael has been working at Annandale Animal Hospital for 2 years. She is proud owner of Buster, a 6 year old male Boxer and Henry, a 3 year old male white domestic shorthair cat.  Rachael is particularly interested in surgery and particularly enjoys assisting with orthopaedics.

  • Alicia Liston - Vet Nurse
    Animal Studies Certificate II, Veterinary Nursing Certificate IV

    Alicia has had a love for animals for as long as she can remember. She adopted her adorable cat, Pumba, after he was abandoned at our practice, and raised him into the happy, well-adjusted feline he is today.

  • Maddie Curr-Smith - Veterinary Nurse and Receptionist
    Certificate II in Animal Studies, Certificate IV in Animal Studies, Bachelor degrees in Japanese and Psychology

    Maddie has completed her Certificate II in Animal Studies and her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.  Maddie also recently somehow found the time to complete a Bachelor of Arts in Japanese and Bachelor of Science in Psychology!  Her veterinary nursing interests, however are in emergency medicine.  Maddie has a 4 and a half year old cat named Noodle and a gorgeous 18 month old cavoodle puppy named Peanut.

  • Lorena Haute - Vet nurse and Receptionist
    Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing

    Lorena hails from southwest Sydney and joined our team at AAH in April 2013.  She has completed her Certificate II in Animal Studies her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.  Lorena has a 10 year old Labrador called Bobby and 2 cheeky budgerigars called Lola and Anjel (which is Spanish for Angel).

  • Rachel Oakes - Vet Nurse and Receptionist
    Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing

    Rachel has recently joined our team as a receptionist and vet nurse.  She has been working as a vet nurse for the past four years and has completed her studies in Veterinary Nursing Certificate IV.  Rachel is currently studying human nursing and has two cute but mischievous cats named Clementine and Abigail.

  • Rebekah Morden

    Rebekah comes to us from a background in marketting and management but she has decided to explore a different career in the veterinary industry and is currently studying for her Veterinary Nursing Certificate IV.  She is really excited to be combining her love of animals with her new career.  Having grown up on a farm in Scotland, she has always been surrounded by a large variety of animals, from horses and goats, to gerbils and hamsters.  She has a soft spot for large dog breeds which stems from her parents keeping Newfoundlands and German Shepherds.  Now living in an apartment in Sydney, she has had to downsize her furry companions somewhat but is kept more than happy by her gorgeous 15 year old rescue cat 'Charlie'.

  • Jessica Panozzo
    Kennelhand

    Jessica comes from a town called Kankakee, just south of Chicago Illinois USA.  She is studying Veterinary Science at the University of Sydney and is about to start her second year.  Jessica has a bachelor degree in Pre-Veterinary Medicine and Biology from the United States and has wanted to be a vet for as long as she can remember.  Jessica's interests include scuba diving, reading, hanging out with friends and working with animals.  She has a calico domestic long-haired cat named Mugsy at home in the states and a 3-year-old kelpie cross named Bella in Sydney.  She loves being in Sydney and believes it to be a really beautiful city.

  • Sarah Houseman
    Veterinary Student

     

    Sarah will be studying her second year of Veterinary Science at Sydney University in 2015. She comes from Wauchope on the north coast of NSW and loves working with animals of all sizes. Sarah desires to be a country vet when she graduates and her other interests include going to the beach, jogging and soccer. She has a budgie named Captain Feathersword and 3 guinea pigs, but can’t wait until she can get her own sausage dog.
